Menstrual Cups

Poll on Stems

I’m curious to see how many people trim off the stems of their cups and how many leave them intact.  Also how people like or don’t like stems, and which stem options you like the best.

So I have a couple of polls 🙂  please submit your answer.  If you have more than one cup, you can answer more than one option.

  1. Hi 😀

In the second question, I would have also answered “ball” 😉 – in any case, the ones on Me Luna cups, or even Angelcup.

  2. Now, here’s the thing – “I need to use the stem each time”.
You need the stem for what? I’m assuming removal.
(I haven’t submitted to the poll for this reason)

I’ve never needed my stem for removal, but I need the stem to keep my cup upright. My first cup was a Mooncup 11+ years ago and it sat low so the stem irritated me, after I cut off the stem it completely tipped on the side so making it useless. I’ve since tried other cups, currently I use a Ladycup which sits very high for me so the stem isn’t as much of an issue and in theory it may not tip on it’s side…but it’d be an expensive experiment to try removing the stem.

  3. It doesn’t matter what you need it for (insertion/removal/whatever), it just means you actually use the stem of the cup, so having one is important to you.
